Leah T., Emily S., Alex W. - History of the Space Program

Our group, Emily, Alex, and I, actually enjoyed working on this project. We gathered research and made an animoto with that information. One thing that our group enjoyed the most was actually finding the pictures for the project to go with the text that we have. Many interesting things were learned, including events that happened over time in the space program and some advances in the program, including the Hubble telescope and fireproof space suits. The research was pretty easy since we got most of it from the book and the rest of it from the timeline. It was a pretty fun project.

  1. This is all very good, but if you are going to put dates, then make it look like a timeline, in order.

  2. I thought it was really interesting that we might not be the only planent that has water or possibly life. I was wondering if you could tell me what planets might have life though.

  3. Very good. The music is very distractive and made me go off topic. I agree with matt make it go in somewhat of a timeline.

  6. You had good research but I agree with Joe the music was distracting me and to make it somewhat of a timeline.

  7. Good job on the presentation but it was really different because like someone said it was out of order and I got a little confused. It wouldve been a lot easier to understand if it was in order of date. Otherwise it was great information.

  10. I really enojoyed all of the detailed information that you shared during the animoto. You taught me all of the names of the shuttles and the astronauts who orbited/landed on the moon. It was very informative and you did a very good job.

  11. Andrew, in response to your question, I'm not really sure what other planets may have life since that's not what we researched, but the planets shown in the video are the ones we know about.

  12. I had a great time learning about your video. It was cool to know that the Russians sent a dog up to space. I also enjoyed learning about the shuttle's. You had a great amount of pictures that describe differnt things. Great job!

  13. I really liked your information. Plus I was so surprised that the first living thing to go into space was a dog! So overall great video!

  21. This had so much information in it, I loved it! Although, I know you were supposed to mention how it related to the movie October Sky, and I think you forgot that part. Could you maybe give me some information about it, since I missed seeing the movie in class?
    Thanks :)

  22. Amanda, in response to your comment about October Sky, we did forget that part. I actually did have it in there and then I accidentally deleted it. In October Sky, they had built rockets and were launching them and what made them able to do that was their knowledge of actual rockets that go into space.
